Well woke up nice and early to another sunny day, we really have been lucky with the weather so far on this trip. Today we thought we would explore the towns historic docks, they have really brought the docks to life, like a lot of towns and cities in the UK. The old warehouse buildings have either been converted into flats, offices, or restaurants, and also in the docks themselves there are many old barges from a bygone era of all different type’s, commercial, residential and with a sprinkling of very upmarket yachts. All this combined with a very nice shopping mall “Gloucester Quays” it is a must place to visit if you are in town. It was then back on the road to our next destination Harcombe House Chudleigh Devon.
Well we arrived safe and sound, weather was sunny and warm, perfect start to our break. The travelodge we were staying in is situated near to the revamped Gloucester Quays which is very nice indeed, we parked the car and had a wander into town. Gloucester has some really nice architecture, timber framed buildings, historic docks, and of course a Cathedral which I might add we have not had the chance to see yet. Then we decided to have some pub lunch then back to the hotel to check in.
As we walked through town back to the hotel we stumbled across a very nice Chinese restaurant called Blossom which we noted would be a good place for our evening meal, in which we were to find out it was a wise choice. The food was amazing (read my full review when I post it on yelp just search for bobrouse)
