Brick Lane

A great afternoon was had by all, we took the DLR to Canary Wharf and had good look around the old place, still lots of impressive buildings going up and looks amazing at night. Then it was time for a well-earned drink, we found a pub which was called The Ledger Building which is where all the old documents were held for the East India Dock Co many years ago a real impressive piece of architecture, with some great old photos from the past and a great location overlooking one of the many docks in the area. It was then off to Brick Lane for dinner. As I have said in previous blog posts Brick Lane is an amazing place, a real cultural hub for the Indian community in East London, which really comes alive at night, nearly a whole street of Indian restaurants bars café just too many to choose from, but we found one called the mango which turned out very nice indeed. Like I said it is so difficult to choose as there are so many, I used the Curry finder app on my iPhone and it had a good rating so we gave it a go. I will post a review on Yelp on our return. Then it was off back to the hotel for a good nights sleep for the busy day ahead tomorrow.
